Somewhere, right now
Every minute, something interesting is happening in the sky.
A plane circles, waiting its turn to land. A landing is called off at the last moment. A tanker flies laps over the sea. FlyScout picks these flights out of thousands, so you see the ones worth a second look.

What was this plane doing?
An Airbus A330 climbs out over Norway, then flies laps over the sea for most of an hour. FlyScout spotted the pattern and measured it; here it is again, from its recorded track. Tankers often fly racetracks like this on station, where other aircraft meet them to refuel. The line is coloured by height and the measured part is outlined. Drag along the altitude strip to fly it yourself.

Real findings
Every one of these really happened.
Straight from FlyScout's feed, each said in plain words first: what happened, where, which aircraft. Every line is the path the aircraft flew; its dot is the moment that made it unusual.

Honest data
Found by rules, not guesses.
Every flight in the feed was picked by a fixed rule that measured its track. It says what the track shows, a hold, a go-around, an emergency code, never why. Aircraft positions come from receiver networks run largely by volunteers, such as ADSB.lol (ODbL), and each flight credits its source. FlyScout is for people who love aviation; it is not a navigation or safety service.
